There are two ways in. If speaking up could cost you anything, use the anonymous tip line.
Send an anonymous tip
For something you saw at work, in testing, or anywhere you'd rather not be identified.
- No account, no email, no cookies.
- Encrypted on your device before it's sent. Only the site owner's key file can read it.
- Never published as you wrote it. We check it first, and can ask you questions through your private reply code.
How to stay anonymous (3-minute read). Worth it before you write.
Post a report
For public cases: a paper, a news story, a lab's own disclosure, or something you're comfortable putting your account to.
- Needs a free account.
- You can choose to appear as "Anonymous" on the report, but the site knows which account posted it.
- Checked by a person before it's published, with its sources shown.
Not sure which? If you'd be uncomfortable with your employer learning it was you, use the tip line. Details are on our privacy page.
