Dispute a report
If a report or comment on this Site names you or your organization and you believe it's false, misleading, missing important context, or should be removed, we want to hear from it directly, not just find out about it through a flag from someone else.
How to reach us
Email legal@instrumental-convergence.com with:
- A link to the specific report or comment.
- What's inaccurate, missing, or unfair about it, as specifically as you can.
- Anything you can point to that supports your position: your own account, documentation, a correction, or other evidence.
- What you're asking for: a correction, added context, a change to the evidence-type label, or removal.
- Contact information so we can follow up if we need more detail.
What happens next
A human reviews every dispute; we don't auto-resolve these. Depending on what you send us, the outcome may be:
- Adding context or a note to the report.
- Re-labeling its evidence type (for example, from "corroborated incident" to "disputed interpretation").
- Removing the content, if it turns out to violate our Content Guidelines or Terms of Service.
- Leaving it as published, with an explanation of why, if we conclude the report is within these Guidelines even though you disagree with it.
We try to strike a balance: this archive exists so that real reports aren't silenced just because their subject objects, but it also isn't a place for content that's actually false or unfair to stand unexamined. See our Methodology for the thinking behind that balance.
